Myla Jewett  began her fragrant journey by spilling a bottle of First by Van Cleef and Arpels at the age of
three.  As she stood in the puddle of perfume, she became possessed by the oenemel smell of the
fragrance and believes that to be her initiation into the delicate and magical world known as
perfume.

A native of Northern California, Myla grew up next to a large rose garden where she would spend
summer days wandering through the rows of fragrant centifolia and damascena, collecting the petals,
then submerging them in oil, creating her first aromatic oils at age six.

Myla has been creating custom blends for over ten years. Her training includes studies in botany at UC
Berkeley, aromatherapy and herbalist training with the “grand-mere” of aromatherapy in San Francisco,
studies in ancient civilizations and archaeology at UCLA and later attending a renowned perfumery
school in Grasse, in the south of France.  It was during this time she connected with the Mul family, the
current caretakers of the flower fields that supply the house of
Chanel with their most exquisite jasmine
and rose essential oils.

Myla’s rich flowered path has led to the development of
L’Eau de la Lune Perfumes, her unique line of
fragrance to launch this summer 2009.
